Every card is available in 4 unique suits. They are Diamonds, Spades, Clubs and Hearts.

There are money betting rounds in the game of Poker into what is called a “pot”, as well as rounds of getting and replacing cards. Depending on the version of the game of Poker selected to play poker online by the player the betting rounds’ number will vary. Action ensues by way of clockwise direction.

Generally the players can ante or they can put up blind bets in the “pot”. After cards are dealt to the players by the dealer a betting round follows at the end of which there is to be equal contribution by all players towards the “pot”.

The rules for online poker betting are classified into 3 divided into three categories. They are

  • Limit Poker: This implies existence of a predetermined betting amount.
  • No Limit: As the name suggest there is unlimited betting in this Poker game.
  • Pot Limit: This implies that the players can raise their bet to only the pot amount.

When the player’s turn comes, he or she can select from actions such as:

a. Check: In the event no bet has been tabled yet, the player can pass the act to the player next in turn check by betting 0.
b. Call: In case the bet is already tabled then the player can call and select to match up with the bet.
c. Bet: In case of absence of bets the player can place one bet by betting.
d. Raise: The player can escalate the bet on the table, by raising.

On completion of rounds of betting as well as dealing of cards the Showdown by players takes place and the winner is the player with the highest hand.
