Poker is the game that is played and loved by people worldwide. With the advent of exciting software, one can just sit back and enjoy their favorite poker game on their personal computers. These online poker games are of different types. Let us brief you about the most popular.

Holdem at BodogTexas Holdem: This one is the most popular of the lot. There are various kinds of Texas Holdem like the No limit Texas Holdem, Limit Texas Holdem and Pot Texas Holdem. There are five exposed or community cards placed in the middle of the table and the players can see and use them. Two hole cards are provided to each of the players, which should be hidden. With these community and hold cards, players are to make their in-hand five cards. The game comprises four rounds of betting. The game proceeds in the clockwise direction. Before the start of the game the person on the left of the dealer makes blind bets. The other members have options of folding, raising or calling. At the time of showdown, the player with the highest rank of five cards wins. But when there are two players with similar hands then the pot is equally shared between them.

Omaha Holdem: It is also known as Omaha Hi is a variation of the Texas Holdem poker. Its other form is called Omaha Low. Omaha can be played between 2-10 players. Instead of two hole cards, here four cards are received by each of the online players. All five community cards are face-up and are shared by the players. To make up their five card hand each player must combine two holes and three community cards. The rest of the game is similar to Texas Holden. Before the game starts, the two players on the left of the dealer make blind bets. There are four rounds of betting. Each player gets a chance to fold, raise or call. At the last phase of the game if there is more than one player left, then there is a showdown. The player with the highest rank of cards is given the pot. If both the players have similar hands then the pot is equally shared between them.

Seven Card Stud: This game of poker is different from the Omaha and Texas Holdem. It is a game involving 2-8 players. Before starting the game each member must contribute to the ante i.e. the mandatory bet. All members receive three cards that are face down and four cards that are exposed to all the players. The aim is to combine these seven cards in such a way to make the best five high ranking cards. It consists of five betting rounds.
