No Limit Holdem

Unless a poker player is exceptionally skilled or just very lucky, then they should probably stay away from the no limit Texas Holdem poker games.

There are certain strategies in Holdem games with limits that cannot be used in no limit No Limit Texas Holdem, the game is played differently and if this your first venture into no limit poker games then playing as tight as you can is probably a good no limit Texas Holdem strategy. Remaining in the hand only with high pairs as your hole cards will save you more money than trying to hit based on future flops. Wait for the perfect opportunity and good starting cards.

You will have to remember that as the name implies, these are no limit poker games in which you can win, or lose a lot of money in a hurry. One of the best strategies in these games is to watch how the people at the front of the line bet. If they are betting high then they are probably not bluffing about having a good hand. It is also good to try to remember how the hand turned out for them and remember how they reacted in different situations.

Trapping is another effective no limit Texas Holdem strategy, it is a way of helping to build the pot up. For example, you are dealt a pair of kings as pocket cards and the flop turns up two kings and a four, betting high may make a lot of other players fold. On the other hand, if you bet a logical amount other players may stay in longer and help grow the pot with their presence.

The number of hands you win is not always equal to the amount in the pots and learning to keep other players from folding is almost as important as knowing when you should drop out of a hand.
